‘The City of Three Rivers’
Known as the City of Three Rivers, Passau is a beautiful German town in Lower Bavaria crossed by the Danube, Ilz and Inn rivers. Situated near the Austrian border, this university city is home to the biggest cathedral organ in the world with 17,774 pipes and 233 registers.
Built in 1688 by the Italian architect Carlo Lurago, the Baroque St. Stephen's Cathedral has frescoes and paintings by JM Rottmayr. Featuring classic European architecture, the historic Old Town of Passau has small cobbled alleys with picturesque Bavarian cafes and restaurants, as well as a Neo-Gothic tower. You can enjoy a cruise on the Danube River or wonder around the medieval houses that are modified into galleries.

パッサウからオーストリアのリンツまでドナウ川のフェリーが出ています。
パッサウからオーストリアのリンツまでドナウ川のフェリーが出ています。行きは5～6時間ぐらい、帰りはフェリー、バス、電車から選べます。フェリーだとリンツにいる時間はほとんどありません。バスだと2時間ぐらいリンツに滞在出来て、帰り道はところどころドナウ川沿いで2時間ほどでパッサウに到着します。自然が満喫できる日帰りツアーです。
