Binz is the most charming place!
Binz is the most charming place! Most guest houses are from turn of the last Century, and full of quirks and beautiful details. The beach is lovely, even out of season, and there’s also an old-fashinoned pier and a lake. Love it all!

The incessant rain this summer makes reviewing a challenge. Binz is a pleasant, quiet seaside resort with good bus/train links to other parts of the island. The narrow gauge steam train is excellent.

Very beautiful small city with ammenities and opportunities for family visits with little children. But avoid the properties directly at the beach area as they can be a bit noisy due to the live music that is regularly being played in some of the hotels!

Very nice area, close by Prora, the holliday stay for Germans in 40-45. Nice and clean beach. Prices for food are moderate and really German comfort food as you can imagine. The hotelprices are sky high. You can take a boat trip to Sasnitz, where you can enter a submarine (it is a museum) .

Binz feels a bit too crowded for an enjoyable relaxed...
Binz feels a bit too crowded for an enjoyable relaxed vacation on a beach, but it is great as a starting point for hiking around Rügen - provided you have car or over means to travel around the island.
The accommodation fulfilled our expectations. It was clean, simply and practically furnished, very close to the beach, in a quiet area and close to the train station. The wifi worked well. The price is quite good comparing to the other hotels in the area, but be aware that you have to pay extra for towels and sheets. And you have to buy or bring your own detergents for washing the dishes, a sponge, a towel and dishwasher tabs as none of these are provided. There is a really nice Italian restaurant just a minute away from the hotel.
Breakfast was good and plentiful. Very German, with loads of cold meats - but also muesli etc. Rolls still warm from the oven, delicious.
Our cabin was charming, spacious and super clean.
Friendly staff, and even our dog loved the place and was welcomed. He even got his own Binzer Bucht card for free transport and wifi etc, made out to ‘Wuf Harding’ 😀
Pizzas surprisingly good.
Whole stay was exceptional value for money. Didnt try the spa area.
We booked this hotel for our 10 anniversary and were very happy with our experience.
The staff is very attentive and helpful, the hotel went an extra mile to arrange for special amenities in our room.
Restaurant has relaxed atmosphere and delicious menu.
Breakfast had a very good selection and service was attentive and friendly
Spa are and treatment was very relaxing.
The building and interior is in excellent condition
We stayed at the Mona Lisa apartment house, which is part of the Central Hotel Binz. It was wonderful. Very nice, cozy, and comfortable apartment. Located at the beginning of the Fußgänger zone, we could walk to the beach and promenade in 10 minutes.
Central Hotel is located with the restaurant Plattduutsch, one of the best in Binz and the island of Rugen. Great breakfast and friendly service.
The apartment is is clean, well furnished, and in good condition. The location is really good. Everything is in walking distance: beach, shopping, restaurants, public transportation for longer trips to other towns. Hence, it is totally possible to arrive at Binz by train (e.g., via the ICE train network), and to spend the vacation there without a car.
- size of the room
- kitchenette is pretty full packed for any kind of cooking you’re about to perform
- water pressure at shower
- part of the parking lot is covered, which is really great, even though to get to it you’re exposed to weather anyway. Don’t take complaints about price in other reviews seriously, 5EUR/day - close to nothing for Binz
This was a wonderful apartment. Clean and spacious with fantastic facilities from a kitchen that had everything you needed to a sauna in the block. Stayed in many five star hotels and this was comparable.
We liked the sauna the most. Breakfast was perfect, it had switching buffet items. Also dinner was really good. The hotel is modern but still cozy and is very central in Binz, right at the waterfront.
Location is super neat, a lovely place to stay at when you are in Binz/Rügen. Loved the breakfast; huhe variety of food and drinks. Super friendly staff. Fair prices. We‘ll be back for sure!
Amazing place to be with kids, excellent personnel who was always helpful and patient. Kids club was one love for our kids. Lovely breakfast and hotel location was just great.
The food (breakfast buffet, dinner buffet and ala carte options) were all delicious. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. And the hotel is very family friendly.
Great pool and sauna! Great access to the beach. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and roomy for family of 5 with the 2 beds 2 baths.
