Hoedspruit is indeed a tourist destination. Restaurants are in abundance. We enjoyed our dinners at The Hat and Creek restaurant. The town is bordered by the Kruger National Park. Access to the KNP is easy.

The views of the Foot of the Klein Drakensburg are absolutely to die for. I had to stop numerous times on my way to and from Hoedspruit to just take in the scenery…absolutely breathtaking and majestic!

Hoedspruit is the best town in Greater Kruger.
Hoedspruit is the best town in Greater Kruger. Reasonably priced direct flights from Capetown or Johannesburg. Rental cars at airport. Grocery stores, restaurants and a variety of great places to stay.
This is where to start and stock up if you are self driving Kruger. 45 minutes to the Orpen gate and another 45 to Letaba rest camp. Expect to see elephant on the way.

A waring to be patient of the access roads, if driving in. Tri-axle bulk transporters seem to use every conceivable road, many of which are hilly and not endowed with many safe and legal overtaking opportunities.

The staff are very welcoming and they gave us the best service. The breakfast was to die for. If you want to unwind and let nature speak to you, don't hesitate, book your stay now. I love the privacy and the smell of different trees that sorrounds the Lodge. It was a good experience.

Unpretentious and community driven.
Unpretentious and community driven. All people united with a common cause for good. Hoedspruit is diverse subtle and unassuming - one of Africa’s best kept secrets and one well worth preserving 👍 Who would have thought?
A superb Guest Lodge with a great welcome by Zoe and excellent accommodation and 5 star amenities located within the Hoedspruit Wildlife Reserve. Beautiful modern and spacious deluxe room with King Sized bed, quiet aircon, percale linen. soft fluffy towels, including pool towels and the bonus of our ensuite was an additional open air outdoor shower. A fabulous pool with superior outdoor furniture. A delicious breakfast included in the price and served by the friendly co-host Justin.
Ann and Marlon were really great hosts! They cared about our trips and tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
The breakfast was delicious and they attended to our wishes for activities. All the staff were very ambitious and nice.
The lodge is on the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate and you are able to see all kinds of animals even in front of your door. You are allowed to take Bush walks in the territory and if you get lucky you'll find a leopard or some hyena (we didn't).
Lovely, well equipped self catering chatel in beautiful surroundings. Nice decor and pleasant sitting area outside. Outside shower was fun to use during the daytime but I avoided using it in the dark in case of insects (the biting sort!). It was nice to be able to open the curtains in the bedroom in the morning and look out at the wildlife and still feel totally private.
There was also a spacious bbq area, which although we didn't use, looked great for family bbqs.
The hosts and their staff are very welcoming and take care of all your needs as guests. The rooms are very well finished with all you need for a comfortable self catering experience. We enjoyed the very intimate layout, there is a lot of privacy as each room opens up to the bush and isn't up close to the others. The breakfast is a highlight - everything freshly prepared with generous portions and enough variety to suit all tastes. We'll definitely visit again
The staff is highly professional, the hospitality is above and beyond the 5-stars hotel. The food is delicious and high-quality like in a very good restaurant (don't forget they are in the middle of savannah!). The rooms are super-clean and equipped with anything you might need during your stay. You have no need to worry about anything. Whatever you ask is organized for you at the time you want. This is 5+ stars 🤩 hotel experience.
The unit was neat and tidy and really nicely furnished and decorated. The beds were really comfortable and we were so grateful for the extra blankets for the unusually cold weather .We all loved the outside shower and enjoyed the beautiful big bath. The visits by various game was so enjoyable. Great proximity to town, so super convenient. Great value for money!
I booked the property for my wife to stay over for a couple of days. The property was rated highly and reviews were great. She needed a place that was comfortable, in short proximity to Hoedspruit and safe for her to stay alone. Ujabule was the perfect place. Staff were friendly and breakfast was great. Thanks guys
The quietness and the serenity of the bushveld. We enjoy the pool on a hot summer day. The unit was fitted with all the utensils to self catering . We had 4 fans which was very handy. The bedrooms windows are fitted with mosquito net . Everything was exactly as advertised in the website.
Marnie the lady that looked after us was exceptionally kind and efficient. The decor was lovely and the food excellent. Only the problem of the power cuts that was no fault of hotel. Just a 40 min drive to the kruger where we saw a lot of animals
Breakfast was ok - the hotel is remote so there’s nowhere else to eat close by before going out sightseeing. Having dinner prepared was very convenient for us. The best thing about the hotel is Jacques, the manager!
The breakfast was superb, made upon order of your choice... The host is very hands on and friendly... Made my stay in Hoedspruit very enjoyable, as he also helped with activities during the stay without a hassle...
It is a self catering with all the required utensils available and in great conditions. Finding the location was a bit of a challenge because the navigation system could not pick the names of the streets.
Great gem in the middle of Hoedspruit. Loved everything. Bed, bath and shower was great. Kitchen appliances was great. Decent glases and cutlery. Wanted to stay longer if we could.
Impossible to find a better game driver's team than John and Peace. It's incredible how polite all staff is. The food is really good! Best price/quality hotel for a Safari!
Modern, Minimalist, Stylish Villa. Private with uninterrupted view of the bush. Friendly, helpful hosts. All the self catering essentials have been thought of and provided.
I liked everything and that it had everything required as a self catering unit.
The Hosts are such lovely people and make an effort to make your stay worthwhile.
