Beirut es troba en una situació econòmica complicada, amb una alta inflació i molt pocs diners per part de l'Estat. Això implica que no es pot (o no és recomanable) utilitzar targetes de crèdit, els preus poden variar, la il·luminació al carrer és deficient, i als comerços i edificis depèn dels generadors que tinguin. Tot i això, estan fent esforços per recuperar-se i agraeixen molt les visites.
